Friday 19 December 2025 Year 2 Christmas Performance We are bursting with pride for our wonderful Year 2 children, who shone brightly in their performance of Golden Star and Bethlehem Beats Nativity. Their voices filled the hall with beautiful singing, their dance moves brought energy and joy to the stage, and every line was spoken with confidence. It was a truly magical celebration of talent, teamwork, and festive spirit — a performance that will be remembered with smiles and applause!

Friday 19 December 2025 Year 1 Christingle Service Year 1 had a visit from Reverend Andrew from St John's Church to discuss Christmas and deliver a Christingle service. The children enjoyed learning about and making their own Christingle.

Friday 21 November 2025 Enterprise Visit A group of year 6 children represented the school at an Enterprise event today at the Guild Hall. They worked excellently together collaborating their ideas and came 1st place winning an amazing £250 for our school!! They impressed us with their exceptional behaviour and we are very proud!

Friday 7 November 2025 Year 2 Visit to Beverley Year 2 had a fab time in Beverley looking at the Tudor buildings linked to our History unit. We enjoyed visiting the Beverley Minster and the museum in Beverley Treasure House.

Friday 4 July 2025 Girls Football Final The girls represented the school amazingly at the 5 aside football tournament, playing some tough physical teams the girls showed lots of resilience and determination even when the results didn't go our way. Well done girls!

Friday 4 July 2025 Boys Football Final Our Year 5 boys did great in their 5 a side football finals on Wednesday night. They ended up runners up after a close 1-0 defeat in the final (our only goal conceded all day). This puts them as the second best 5 a side team in the city for their year group.

Friday 4 July 2025 The Big Malarkey Festival Last Thursday, our Year 5 quiz team took part in the reginal final of the 'What on Earth' quiz at the Big Malarkey. With the support of their cheer team, they did amazingly well and won a trophy, medals and goodie bags. Well done!

Wednesday 25 June 2025 Year 1 trip to Sewerby Hall Year 1 had a fantastic day at Sewerby Hall! We explored the mini zoo and were especially excited to see the penguins up close. As part of our science topic, we continued learning about nature by naming flowers and trees in the beautiful gardens. A highlight of the day was riding the land train down to the beach – such fun! At the seaside, we built amazing sandcastles and enjoyed playing together in the sand. It was a brilliant day full of learning, laughter, and sunshine. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special!

Tuesday 24 June 2025 Science Week in Year 1 – Super Investigations! This week, Year 1 have been inspired by Sir David Attenborough during our exciting Science Week. We explored the lives of minibeasts, investigated their habitats, and discovered how to care for the environment. Linking to our Geography topic, we carried out a fun ice-melting experiment to learn about polar regions and climate change. The children loved going on minibeast hunts, and building their own mini habitats for insects. It's been a week full of curiosity, hands-on learning, and a growing love for the natural world!

Wednesday 18 June 2025 Year 1 Microhabitats Year 1 have been learning about microhabitats, they looked at different minibeasts and their habitats and then took part in field work to explore where we would find minibeasts using north, east, south and west. To finish, they built their own m=microhabitats using natural resources.

Tuesday 17 June 2025 Year 3 Showcase Event Year 3 enjoyed their showcase afternoon! They animated their drawings and worked in teams to create the tallest and strongest towers from art straws, demonstrating their knowledge from their Design and a technology lessons. Many included cross braces, asymmetrical designs and wide bases. I'm sure you'll agree that these designs are very impressive!
