Breakfast Club
The Biggin Hill breakfast club is very popular with anything from 180 and 200 children each day.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But many children regularly miss breakfast or resort to snacking on crisps and chocolate on the way to school. Breakfast Club can provide a combination of a healthy breakfast, early morning childcare and an opportunity for educational and social activities. Eating breakfast has been shown to improve children's problem solving abilities, memory for learning, concentration, and help them start the school day on time, calm and ready for learning.
During their time in Breakfast Club children have the opportunity to spend time socialising with their friends and classmates. We offer a wide range of activities including board games, colouring sheets, table tennis, dodgeball etc...
We are very lucky to be a part of the Greggs Breakfast Club Programme. Greggs therefore provide us with fresh bread each week and grants throughout the year to purchase activities and food to keep our breakfast club running.
Breakfast Club is available from Monday to Friday. The doors are opened at 8am, and remain open for children to arrive until 8:20am. Entrance for years 3 - 6 is through the phase 3 doors and entrance for FS2 - year 2 is through the small hall doors. Breakfast club is free to all children who attend.
